Fitness Tips & Advice
Being physically
active is important to help ensure better health and prevent obesity. According
to World Health Organization, obesity has doubled since 1980 and more than 10%
of the world’s population is obese. At least 2.8 million adults
die each year as a result of obesity.
According to
fitness.gov, less than 5% of American adults participate in 30 minutes of
physical activity every day. World Health Organization recommends 60 minutes of physical activity a day for children and 150
minutes of physical activity per week for adults to prevent obesity. Here are
some fitness tips and advice to encourage a healthier lifestyle.
Simple Fitness Tips:
Make sure to wear comfortable clothing and shoes when you work out or play a sport. Athletic shoes are the best choice for footwear when engaging in physical activities.
Make sure to keep yourself hydrated with water. According to
water.epa.gov, the daily recommendation for drinking water is 8 glasses a day.
Bottled water is a good choice to keep yourself hydrated when working out or
playing sports.
Working out at a gym is very beneficial if you live nearby
one.
Listening to music while working out is great because you can
choose music that makes you feel more motivated.
If you don’t live nearby a gym, you can still buy exercise
equipment you can use at home such as weights and exercise balls.
There are many physical activities and sports to choose from
including dancing, basketball and soccer. Pick something that you enjoy or
interests you. When you engage in a sport of physical activity you enjoy, you
will have more fun with it.
