WWE announces another Diva Search?

Recently, WWE has been hosting an unofficial Diva Search in Los Angeles, California in the hopes of finding females to hire as new WWE Divas. However, this Diva Search is only open to models. I personally find this to be an issue because many models turned female wrestlers tend to get bored with the career and leave to pursue other opportunities such as going back to modeling or acting.

Now, I’m not saying WWE should not hire models. History has shown fitness models that have become WWE Divas have had successful careers including former Diva Trish Stratus and current Diva Kaitlyn who shows some potential. However, those two women did not come from Diva Searches.

Nonetheless, there have been exceptions where we have had some models who actually came from previous Diva Searches improve greatly as female wrestlers such as Michelle McCool, Layla El, Candice Michelle and Eve Torres, most model turned Divas have seemed to lack the passion for the sport. So why not give ordinary girls who are wrestling fans and female indy wrestlers a chance instead of only models? Female indy wrestlers know what they are doing in the ring and have immense passion for the sport of wrestling.

Here is, in my opinion, a list of female indy wrestlers that would be great in the WWE.

Madison Eagles- Madison Eagles is a professional wrestler from Australia. She has wrestled for multiple indy organizations including Ego Pro Wrestling, Heartland Wrestling Association, Shimmer, Chikara and Ring of Honor. She is the current Shimmer Champion and runs a pro wrestling company in Australia known as PWWA.

Nevaeh- Nevaeh is a professional wrestler from Dayton, Ohio. She has wrestled for many indy organizations including Heartland Wrestling Association, Shimmer, Ohio Championship Wrestling, Big Time Wrestling, Ring of Honor, Wrestlicious and Cleveland-All Pro Wrestling.

Niki Nitro- Niki Nitro is a professional wrestler and wrestling manager from Australia. She has wrestled for Alpha Pro Wrestling, Championship Wrestling Australia and Ultimate Pro Wrestling. She was also the first CWA Women’s Champion.

Leah Von Dutch- Leah Von Dutch is a professional wrestler from Canada. She has wrestled for indy organizations Shine Wrestling, Chikara, Classic Championship Wrestling, Clash Wrestling and NCW Femmes Fatales.

Cherry Bomb- Cherry Bomb is a professional wrestler from Canada. She has wrestled for indy organizations Shimmer, Shine Wrestling, NCW Femmes Fatales and Great Canadian Wrestling.
